2005
Season – Rookie
of Year Competitor (CRA)
In 2005, Tommy will be driving for Keller Motorsports and is considered by
many as a pre-season favorite for the CRA Rookie of the Year Championship.
Tommy has consistently proven that he can quickly adapt to any track configuration
and be competitive in less than 50 laps. This was proven in April 2005
when Tommy visited the prestigious and notorious Winchester Speedway with
31 degree of banking for the first time. After qualifying 10th out of 29
cars, Tommy was in third position after 55 laps and was challenging for
the lead when an accident with a lapped car ended his day with 5 laps to
go. The media, series officials and ALL competing race teams took notice
that this rookie has talent and will be a threat to win on race day. From
go-karts, to mini sprints to 675 horsepower Late Models, Tommy St. John
will continue to win and add to the list of victories at various race tracks
that already includes Indianapolis Raceway Park, Whiteland Raceway Park,
Indiana State Fairgrounds, Mt. Lawn Speedway, Speed Creek Speedway, Sugar
Hill Raceway.
